Introducing Traditional Holidays for Children
Hello everyone! Do you know what holidays are? Holidays are special days that we celebrate in different ways. Today, I am going to tell you about some traditional holidays.
The next holiday is Easter. It is a Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is usually on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring. Can you guess why Easter is sometimes called "Eggstravaganza"? Because of the colorful eggs that people dye and paint to give to each other!
The next holiday is Independence Day. It is on July 4th and it is when the United States of America became independent from Britain. People usually watch fireworks, have barbecues, and listen to patriotic music on this day.
The last holiday is Christmas. It is on December 25th and it is when Jesus Christ was born. People usually exchange gifts, sing Christmas songs, and eat delicious food like turkey, cookies, and Christmas pudding. What would you like to receive as a Christmas gift?
These are some of the traditional holidays that we celebrate. Now it is time for you to tell me about your favorite holiday!
